Entertainment legend Elton John accepts that his days here on earth are coming to an end. As his health continues to decline, the Rocketman hitmaker is hyper-focused on death and wants to ensure he leaves no stone unturned. To make things easier on his family, Elton has taken care of making his final arrangements. His last wishes are revealed, and he plans to go out in style when his time comes.
Elton John lives his life his way, so when it is time for him to go, he plans on going out exactly the same way. Recent reports reveal that Elton’s health issues are spiraling. The singer has undergone numerous health emergencies and has been fortunate enough to survive them all. However, Elton John knows he is not invincible, and his luck will eventually run out.
The singer believes that his days are few. He feels he has little time left. This leaves him focussing on his death. It is all starting to take a significant toll on the singer. Sources state that Elton breaks down in tears and weeps daily. It is eating away at him inside. “Elton wishes he could have those years back.”
John has accepted his fate, and insiders close to Elton tell Radar Online he is spending his days preparing for death and making all his final arrangements. He wants to make things as easy on his husband, David Furnish, and the couple’s two young sons, Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11, as possible. He has big plans for his send-off and final resting place.
Elton John Plans To Rest In Style
Elton John plans to build a giant family mausoleum at his $5.3m mansion so he can lie in state like his late close friend Princess Diana. He wants to build the family tomb to ensure David and the boys can visit him often and have complete privacy.
The mausoleum will join the church, already part of his vast countryside estate in Berkshire, England. The family source states, “Elton doesn’t want to be laid to rest in the local cemetery. He knows he doesn’t have much time left, and so his sons will still be pretty young when he dies, so he’s planning for his final resting place to be at Woodside.”
“The singer doesn’t want David and the boys to have to visit a public facility because that would also be a place of pilgrimage for fans. He wants to be somewhere away from prying eyes, just like Princess Diana.”
Elton John has made preparations for his final resting spot and has also written his own epitaph. Out of all of his lifetime accomplishments, he is most proud of being a father to his two sons. Therefore, he reveals he needs only five words engraved on his headstone: ‘He was a great dad.’
Due to his ongoing health decline, he has already spoken with his family about his death. Elton John wants to embrace the time he has and enjoy every moment with his children. “I want to see them have children and marry. I don’t think I’m going to be around for that. Who knows? You never know. So that’s why I want to use the best time – the best of my time – while I’m around. Time together is so precious.”
He acknowledges that he may not be around to witness all the milestones in his sons’ lives. Elton John reveals that, for now, it is important to him to make the most of his time with them. Ultimately, he hopes to leave them as many happy memories as possible.
