It’s an unfortunate truth that sometimes video games can get expensive. AAA games especially can tend to break your wallet, so it’s important to snag deals wherever you can if you want to enjoy the latest games without spending a fortune. Epic Games Store customers are in luck as the store adds two free downloads to their roster. Where gamers would normally have to spend around $50 on these throwback fighting games, this new deal means users can get Jitsu Squad and Mighty Fight Federation for free.

In the latest promotion from the Epic Games Store, Jitsu Squad and Mighty Fight Federation are free on PC. The sale is open to all Epic Games customers through their PC storefront, and the only thing required to claim a free download of either game is an Epic Games account. Thankfully, the deal also includes the full version of the games, rather than a demo or something locked behind a paywall.

The first of the free downloads, Jitsu Squad, was developed by Tanuki Creative Studio. The 4-person co-op beat ’em up was released in March 2022 and pays homage to games like Marvel vs. Capcom, Final Fight, and Streets of Rage. The game debuted to generally positive reviews and normally goes for $19.99 on the Epic Games Store. Interested players can get a free copy of the game for a limited time.

The other game on sale is Mighty Fight Federation, a love letter to vintage arena fighting games like the Tekken and Mortal Kombat games. The game features a roster of 14 characters and thrives on using quick, flashy attacks. Players can choose between 1v1 matches, co-op fights, or a free-for-all mode where just about anything goes. Normally, Mighty Fight Federation is $29.99 on the Epic Games Store, but customers can get a free download for another week.

If you’re interested in either one of these free downloads, both are available through the Epic Games Store until 11AM ET on December 7th, 2023.
