Eva Longoria fell under fire for her style choice last weekend, and it doesn’t look like fans were digging her dress. Putting on a show-stopping display at the 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice yesterday, the 49-year-old opted for a jazzy look as she rocked the sheer trend, but something was off as users reacted to the photos.
Ditching her signature old-school glamor for a disco-ball look, Eva showed off her curves in a sleeveless, gun-metal dress largely covered in circular sequins, but with a sheer skirt, she was giving the internet plenty to talk about. The high-profile night always makes headlines, with this year’s Gala also attended by stars including actresses Kate Beckinsale and Rumer Willis.

Drawing the eye to her curvy figure in the wake of her Marbella, Spain beach sightings this summer, Eva sizzled in a revealing dress formed of a tight bodysuit and fully sheer outer layer.
Going skintight in her silvery top, the Desperate Housewives star rocked a high neckline as she flaunted her gym-honed shoulders, also highlighting her toned waistline. Adding in a sheer black skirt that also rose up to cover her bodysuit, Eva kept her look matching, wearing disco-ball embellishments on her tulle skirt while flashing her legs.
The mom of one also kept glam in strappy black heels, sporting her brunette locks tied back in a bun while wearing plenty of matte foundation.
Not Getting The Best Feedback
Fans genuinely seemed shocked. While some accused Eva of looking different and alleged that she’s had “work” done, others went for her style choice.
“Eva’s dress is awful and her hair does her no favors,” one fan said, gaining over 300 likes. Agreeing, another wrote: “Eva suddenly looks puffy-faced and a lot older. Didn’t recognize her either.”
Eva was also body-shamed. While one user said that she was “too short for that dress,” another also suggested that the TV favorite was on the chunky side, writing: “Eva is too top heavy and broad for that outfit. Just an uncomfortable-looking outfit for my eyes.” Thinking that Eva could have covered up more, a further fan said that the dress was showing “too much.”
Eva has yet to post her look to Instagram, where she is followed by over 10 million. Her fashion choices tend to prove a hit on the feed, though, with this summer bringing fans a gorgeous, buttercup-yellow minidress look as the actress posed for an outdoor snap.
