Eva Longoria will play host for the upcoming CNN+ series Searching for Mexico. This will be the first original series for CNN+. The streaming services expect to make a franchise out of the Searching for… brand. CNN found success with the late Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. After he died in 2018, Searching for Italy was the network’s first food/travel genre series outside of Bourdain’s work. Longoria will bring her passion for Mexican cuisine to the show. The CNN+ series Searching for Mexico will have host Eva Longoria journeying to eclectic places around Mexico. She will give audiences a view into the making of cherished foods and drinks. Searching for Mexico is produced by Raw, the same studio behind Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. Tucci will be the executive producer of the new series.
Eva Longoria Can Add Host to Her Roster of Titles for the CNN+ Series Searching for Mexico
She is not all looks, in fact, and has the titles actor, model, and producer to her name. The Desperate Housewives alum talked about her Searching for Mexico hosting gig, saying, “I am a huge fan of Stanley’s journey throughout Italy; he set the bar high, and I can’t wait for everyone to fall in love with the magic of Mexico.” Eva Longoria will bring her Mexican heritage to the plate to host the CNN+ series Searching for Mexico. This series will give a completely different view of the Mexican people and their culture than the very unflattering anecdotes that can be seen in media. Eva Longoria won’t just be a host but a curator for Mexican culture. The CNN+ series will show a whole different side to Mexico. People will get a close-up view of harvesting agave for tequila and the slow-cooking of traditional mole sauce in Oaxaca.
Searching for Mexico will release six episodes of the miniseries in 2022.
