Its been two years since Pathea Games released their farming life-sim My Time At Portia. The game surprised fans, with a lot of depth and charm along with plenty of content to work through. With that, people are excited to see what the team is up to now, and now they can give it a spin. Their upcoming adventure puzzler Ever Forward now has a demo, allowing you to step into the life of Maya before the game fully releases. The demo was released on Thursday but is already in Steam’s Top 10 New and Trending titles, showing the game has a lot of potential among fans.

Ever Forward

Ever Forward follows the story of Maya, a 12-year-old girl lost on the end of dreams and reality. She’s alone and must learn to confront her issues and despair. It’ll be up to the player to walk through moments of her imagination and past to discover just what secrets her heart hides. Use your intellect and problem-solving skills to move through the world of Ever Forward when it releases next month. It will be available on PC through Steam, while PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions will come later in winter.

Ever Forward looks promising from what’s being shown so far. There are vast and varied environments that all seem incredibly surreal, which would be fitting given its taking place in her mind. It’s all designed so beautifully as well, with some areas reminding me of the Vault of Glass from Destiny. Ever Forward has a lot going for it and if it can use the idea of exploring the mind of a child, this could truly go down as a great game. I believe in them given their track record and how mental health-related games usually go.

Ever Forward

My opinion isn’t the only one of course. What are your initial impressions of Ever Forward? Did you enjoy the team’s previous game My Time at Portia? Let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
