With all major shows over, we can officially declare the summer of gaming as finished, and Nintendo wrapped it all up with a golden ribbon. While many of us were only expecting a few updates to existing games, we actually got several new surprises, details for some long-awaited titles, and the shocking revelation of a remake that made a whole generation of gamers gasp. If you missed the event, however, here’s a list of every major announcement during the Nintendo Direct of June 2026.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
Let’s kick off one of the most unexpected reveals of the Nintendo Direct, which was the announcement of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. That’s right, the sequel is getting the expansion treatment, with a new area, characters, and more creatures to slay. See, you should never call us Dragon’s Dogma fans crazy—we knew it was coming.
Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade is finding its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it is arriving just in time, especially after the announcement of its sequel, BLOOD RAIN. Even if the latter is still in development, now’s a perfect time to try the game that started it all.
Orbitals
This old-school anime game with superb co-op mechanics finally got a release date, and it is arriving on September 3, 2026.
Rayman Legends Retold
Rayman Legends Retold has appeared in almost every show this summer, and the Nintendo Direct isn’t an exception. Now we know that the limbless hero is also coming to the Nintendo Switch, making it the best platform to experience this reimagined adventure.
ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet
ONE PIECE is making its way to the video game landscape once more, and this time it brings a management sim with hundreds of characters from the manga and anime, and some cozy gameplay on the side.
Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass
Pokémon Pokopia still has a lot of stories to tell, and the first one begins soon, as its expansion pass is adding a brand-new underwater area, allowing players to dive and meet new Pokémon. On top of that, there are other two major updates coming as part of this expansion pass, so you better keep an eye out for those.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Have you heard of the Three Houses discourse? Well, prepare for the Fortune’s Weave discourse because the new Fire Emblem looks like it will feature four routes, a lot of playable units, and the strategic combat we love from the series.
Donkey Kong Bananza DLC
While we’re not fans of FOMO tactics, we must say that this new limited-time event with Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Bros. looks great. You’ll be able to play it for a while, alongside some of the challenges that will be available for the game, so make sure to return to the game for some wall-breaking mayhem.
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton
The studio behind Vampire Survivors surprised us with a new Jujutsu Kaisen experience, featuring an 8-player co-op mode that lets you take down hordes of enemies as many of the characters from the legendary series.

Lords of the Fallen 2 has announced that it will be launching on Nintendo Switch 2, which is great as many have been expecting this sequel for a while, which promises to improve upon many aspects we saw from its predecessor.

Hello Kitty is back, and this time with Party Land, which features a huge roster of Sanrio characters in one of the most colorful and engaging titles we have seen from the legendary franchise.
Star Fox
Many of us were already hoping for more details about Star Fox, and we got them. There’s a demo on the way, which will allow players to try out some of the systems of this remake, which are already looking amazing. Remember to head to the store to try out this demo, which should be available right now.
Final Fantasy Resonance
Fans of Brave Exvius can rejoice as Final Fantasy Resonant is taking the same approach as Octopath Traveler 0. We’re getting a new version of the former mobile game, with a new story, no gacha mechanics, and all the characters from the series as summons. Plus, it is the first HD-2D Final Fantasy title ever, which is quite exciting.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World
We’ve seen a lot of Dragon Quest news lately, and while many might be waiting for the next mainline entry, we’ll have Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World to keep us occupied for a long while. We’ll be able to gather creatures, synthesize them, and take them to battle in this brand-new spin-off.
The Duskbloods
The Duskbloods has made another appearance and besides showing more characters that we’ll meet when the game launches, we also know that there’s a closed network test coming soon, so keep an eye out for that if you want to be a part of it.
Splatoon Raiders
Splatoon Raiders also made a splash with new gameplay details, characters, and a lot of information about this brand-new title in the series, which looks exactly like many single-player fans have been asking for, at least in the Splatoon universe.
DELTARUNE
A lot of people were thirsty for DELTARUNE news, and well, their thirst has been quenched. Chapter 5 is coming as a free update for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, meaning that players can dive into it later this month.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
One of the greatest RPGs of 2024 is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and that is Metaphor: ReFantazio. From Atlus, the minds behind Persona, this title puts you in a journey across a magical kingdom full of political intrigue, mystery, and one of the best class systems in modern RPGs.
Kingdom Hearts IV
And here we have it, my fellow Keyblade fans, Kingdom Hearts IV is still happening, and we got a better look at its combat, some of the new visuals, many new characters, with some looking pretty familiar to some we’ve met in the past, and our boy Sora beating heartless in style.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
And to wrap up one of the best Nintendo Direct shows we’ve seen, we have the confirmation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is the remake of the timeless classic. While we only got a short teaser, we know that it is coming this year.
On top of that, we also got to see more announcements during the Nintendo Direct, such as some third-party titles coming to the platform like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and the new Atelier Karia entry, which takes place in the same universe as Atelier Yumia. So, get ready because this year and the next one are packed with games that you’ll want to try on your Nintendo Switch 2.
