Sailors often claim that their knees start shaking ahead of a storm, and for gamers, our carpal tunnel syndrome starts acting up whenever an old franchise gets resurrected. THQ Nordic did that today through its Digital Showcase 2025. In case you missed it, the gaming publisher hosted an almost hour-long showcase, featuring many of its upcoming titles, including some long-awaited sequels, one unexpected shadowdrop, and a few more things. For that reason, we’ve made a list of every single announcement at the THQ Digital Showcase 2025.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide
Let’s face it: we’ve had some really bad SpongeBob games, but we’ve also had some amazing ones in recent memory. Fortunately, SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide seems to be of the latter. Good old David Hasselhoff reprising his role as, well, David Hasselhoff, shows us the new adventure, for not only our square-shaped hero, but for Patrick Star, too. It seems like a banger of a platformer that gives you the ability to swap between the two friends, and for once, oneย SpongeBobย game I’d love to play at launch.
Wreckreation
The most cathartic game shown at the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025 has to be Wreckreation. While short, it gives out some old-school Burnout vibes with its pure vehicular mayhem. However, the kicker is that you can create tracks so that you can race through them alone or with friends. There isn’t a lot of information about this title yet, but so far, it looks delightfully chaotic.
Tides of Tomorrow
You might remember Tides of Tomorrow from other showcases, and now, we have some more information about it. Tides of Tomorrow takes the whole heist genre to a new level by making an interconnected game where you can see players’ choices and consequences, and then plan your heist around it. We’ve all heard about gripping stories, but this might be the first gripping multiplayer story, and one I can’t wait to experience.
Sacred 2 Remaster
A few might have some unpleasant flashbacks from Sacred 3, but don’t worry, that’s not what was shown today. Instead, we have Sacred 2 Remaster, which is one of the best games in the series. Since it is a remaster, not a remake, it will remain faithful to the original product, while adding UI changes, better textures, improved gameplay, and all the content from the complete edition. While many still want a remake of the original Sacred, this one is great, too.
The Eternal Life of Goldman
There were many significant announcements during the THQ Nordic Showcase 2025, but if there was an award for “Most Gorgeous Reveal,” The Eternal Life of Goldman would take it. This hand-drawn platformer will take you on a quest to defeat a diety, while also experiencing some classic fairytales on the way. Despite the many surprises of the showcase, this one has to be the most unique one that captures the golden era of animation and brings it to a fully playable experience.
Titan Quest II
Almost two decades later, we finally have Titan Quest II, and guess what? You don’t have to wait for it any longer. The game is available right now on early access through Steam and the Epic Games Store. So far, people claim it feels like the perfect middle ground between Path of Exiles 2 and Diablo 4, which is great, as those two games tend to go too far on each of their corners, being too hardcore or too casual. Plus, Titan Quest II is on early access, meaning we’ll see a lot of updates through its development.
The Guild – Europa 1410
There has to be some sort of curse on most games with the number “3” on them, and yes, I’m talking about The Guild 3. But, it seems that The Guild – Europa 1410 might be the ray of hope the series needed. While the trailer doesn’t show a lot of gameplay, it is nice to see the series taking a different direction when it comes to its time setting, and frankly, it is one brimming with potential. We’ll still have to wait and see how well it does at launch, but so far, it looks terrific.
Gothic 1 Remake
We’ve seen a lot about the Gothic 1 Remake. We even got to play a standalone demo set before the arrival of our protagonist. But now, the latest trailer focuses on everyone’s favorite Necromancer, Xardas. While it doesn’t show a lot of gameplay, we can observe a few new locations, creatures, and other things that might be familiar to veteran fans. And, to tease us, we know the game is still coming in early 2026, but I guess that isn’t too far right now, or at least that’s what I tell myself to cope with the wait.
Gothic Classic – Console Release
Speaking of Gothic, not one, not two, but the three titles are coming to console sometime in 2026. While many of us are eagerly waiting for the remake of the game that started it all, we’ll finally get to have all three outside of the PC hell and fully playable on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. That also includes Xbox One and PS4, by the way. It is uncertain if they will have some added features, but as long as we can play these games, that’s fine by me.
REANIMAL
If REANIMAL gives you Little Nightmares vibes, that’s because it comes from the creators of the first two Little Nightmares games. It is creepy, eerily beautiful, and co-op; everything we wanted in a game from Tarsier Studios. However, there isn’t an exact release date yet. All we know is that it is coming sometime in Q1 of 2026, but that’s not too far away, fortunately.
Fatekeeper
In an era where modern RPGs move further away from the genre’s roots, I’m glad Fatekeeper is doing the opposite. This new RPG IP is bringing players to a first-person adventure full of mystical creatures, gripping combat, and everything you can expect from an in-depth RPG from the team behind SpellForce 3. Fatekeeper will launch on early access on PC this winter.
Darksiders 4
I know you’ve been waiting for this and hoped for it to be at the top of the list, but if we waited almost two decades, we can wait more. Darksiders 4 is finally coming. That’s it; that’s all there is. Well, not really. The game’s official website mentions that we will be able to pick any of the four horsemen, each one boasting unique combat playstyles. I hope we get some gameplay soon because this was the greatest announcement in the whole THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025.
