Netflix has announced a UK version of Love Is Blind as the new addition to its long list of reality series. Although the chances of two people falling in love without seeing each other look quite slim, three seasons of Netflix’s popular dating series Love Is Blind have opened viewers’ minds to such possibilities. While some of the couples fell in love and went on to get married, others walked away from the series, still single.
However, the agreeable truth is that fans enjoy every bit of the journey — from dating in the pod to going on vacations to meet each other’s families and planning a wedding eventually. As is typical with most dating shows, most relationships in Love Is Blind haven’t worked out as most expected. Despite producing 16 relationships in three seasons, only a quarter of those couples eventually tied the knot.
It has also been quite challenging to pinpoint a winning formula for couples. While some teams claim it was easier to build stronger connections away from the cameras, some other relationships failed immediately after the show. Some of the success stories on the show include Matt Barnett and Amber Pike, who celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary last November.
Also, season 1 alums Lauren and Cameron Hilton and season 3 couple Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed have all remained married to each other. . Although the success rate could be much higher, the show has launched many contestants to superstardom and opened business opportunities for them. It has also helped many form lasting friendships.
