As the home for all kinds of streaming content, Netflix has stepped up its game in recent years, especially regarding reality TV. Some of the streamer’s most successful reality series are dating shows, including Love is Blind, Indian Matchmaking, and Too Hot to Handle. According to a new report from Deadline, Netflix is doubling down on two of these shows and ordering more Love is Blind and Indian Matchmaking. The streamer is also reportedly working on three new dating shows to bolster their slate of romantic content even further.
Love is Blind premiered on Netflix back in February of 2020. The series features singles trying to find love without ever seeing each other while dating. In doing so, it explores the importance of emotional connection — rather than physical attraction. The series is already set to drop a third season later this year; however, that will not be all for Love is Blind. As confirmed by Deadline, the series will be receiving at least two more seasons and a spinoff series; Love is Blind: After The Alter.
Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking also premiered back in 2020. This show features Sima Taparia, a skilled matchmaker who guides her clients in India and the United States through the arranged marriage process. The series is already set for a second season to drop later this year, but it will also receive a third.

However, Netflix’s plans for its romantic slate of reality shows go far beyond more seasons of Love is Blind and Indian Matchmaking. Netflix also approved a spinoff of Indian Matchmaking titled Jewish Matchmaking. The series will offer viewers a similar look into Jewish matchmaking, marital practices, and traditions.

Netflix has also decided to launch a U.S. version of the popular Australian series Love on the Spectrum. This series follows several Australian individuals living with autism spectrum disorder as they navigate dating and trying to find love. The U.S. version will likely follow a similar format.
As if all of that was not enough, Netflix is also working on a currently unnamed dating series. This series will combine singles from multiple Netflix reality series, such as Love is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, The Circle, and more, to help them finally find true love. It will reportedly be hosted by Nick Lachey from Love is Blind.
