Netflix has announced a new star-studded dating reality series titled Perfect Match. Although it is barely two months into 2023, Netflix has been dishing out some delicious content to keep fans entertained. In keeping up with that trend, the network recently announced a new reality TV series titled, Perfect Match.
The series will feature a star cast comprising some all-time fan-favorite Netflix reality stars, such as Love Is Blind‘s Bartise Bowden and Too Hot To Handle‘s, Francesca Farago. Netflix is setting them up with a second chance at finding love, and Love Is Blind‘s Nick Lachey will serve as host of the show. The format of the series will involve the star cast competing to form relationships during their stay on a tropical island. Interestingly, the new series scheduled to premiere on February 14 will have 12 episodes, which will be released in four-episode batches every week.
Trailer Teases Drama and Fun
The trailer of the new Netflix series Perfect Match dropped on January 17, 2023, and teased a lot of fun and drama. The two-minute promo clip begins by showing all the star cast arriving on the Sandy shores of the tropical island. Without wasting any time, the teaser quickly delves deeper into the season, showing viewers flashes of what to expect. The trailer showcases some awkward conversations and steamy kissing sessions between the cast.
The teaser also showed the cast engaging in some games and challenges. However, the most notable twist in the promo clip is the introduction of some unknown guests to the villa at some point in the season. However, Netflix seems to have explained this part in the synopsis for the season, where they mentioned that “the most compatible couples play matchmaker, breaking up other couples and sending them on dates with brand new singles that they invite to the villa.” In the trailer, fans heard host Lachey asking:
“Will they create better matches, or will they create chaos?”
Also, fans would have to wait for the new series to begin later this month to get an answer to that question and any other questions they might be getting from the teaser.
The Cast Contains Several Netflix Reality Stars
Meanwhile, when it comes to reality TV series, Netflix has been steadily blazing a trail with mega-hit shows like Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind. There are also some less popular but equally interesting shows like Twentysomethings and The Mole.
However, for Netflix’s latest reality TV series foray Perfect Match, they have simply outdone themselves. They have gathered a star cast of contestants from their various dating shows and social experiments and put them in one villa to compete for love on a tropical island.
The cast lineup consists of a mix of fan-favorite and villain contestants that were carefully picked by Netflix over a selection of 15 seasons and 8 series (including an international pick from The Circle France). Still, drama promises to be the only logical outcome when you look at the lineup and the fact that all these people will stay in the same villa for weeks.
