The first trailer for Fast 9 has been revealed. The preview for F9: The Fast Saga debuted at a live-concert in Miami. Following last year’s Hobbs & Shaw spin-off, this film will mark the tenth entry in the long-running franchise, which started in 2001.

So then, Vin Diesel is back as Dominic Toretto. He’s bought back his crew, and it appears the stakes are higher than ever before. Fast & Furious 8’s Cipher is back and teaming up with John Cena, and he plays, wait for it…, Dom’s brother.

Plus, the franchise is welcoming a whole bunch of new faces, from Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Michael Rooker, Finn Cole, and artist Cardi B.

Director Justin Lin returns for the tenth installment. Responsible for films three through to six, he’s returned once again to the directing chair. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.

On the downside, there’s no Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham.

It does, however, feature the return of Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, following her departure after Furious 7.

Check out the first trailer for F9: The Fast Saga below, and let us know what you are excited about it.

The trailer delivers the usual dose of high-speed chases, carnage, boss fights, and even a Pontiac Fiero attached to a rocket engine. So it’s business as usual then, as the franchise once again delivers breath-taking stunts and new ways to keep us watching, two decades on.

It’d be easy to complain that the movies have gone too far and run out of ideas. Yet we’re still going to go and see it.

F9: The Fast Saga is currently scheduled for release on May 22, 2020.

Plus, there’s an animated series coming to the Fast universe. Check out the full story here.
