Speculations that there might just be a low-key feud between Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift have heightened. The rumors took a turn for the worse recently after the 22-year-old shared her thoughts on long-duration concerts, which fans believed was an indirect shade at Swift. But days before the interview, Billie Eilish’s manager, Danny Rukasin, raised eyebrows after he reposted a tweet about Swift. The tweet accused the singer of preventing other artists from shining.
Danny Rukasin Heightens Rumors of Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift Beef
A recent repost from Rukasin has left fans wondering if there’s any beef between Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. On May 17, he took to X to like and repost a tweet, accusing Swift of hindering the success of other artists. “Taylor Swift breaking her neck doing everything to prevent other artists from shining,” the tweet’s caption read. Accompanying the caption was an image comparing Swift’s rumored competition with fellow musicians. The photo claimed that on June 9, 2017, Katy Perry released a new album. However, that same day, Swift allegedly “put up entire discog on Spotify.”
Likewise, in January 2023, after SZA was predicted to hit number one for a fourth week, Swift allegedly blocked her shine by “dropping new album versions.” Lastly, the tweet claimed that in May 2024, Eilish released her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft. However, Swift also dropped “new digital versions” of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department “to block Billie.”
Fans Share Mixed Opinions About Rukasin’s Post
On Thursday, a fan shared Billie Eilish’s manager’s repost on Reddit and it kickstarted a wave of mixed opinions. On one hand, some fans echoed their happiness about the tweet, noting that they would love to see a feud between Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. “🚨 the girls are fighting 🚨 This is the exact level and kind of pettiness that I can get behind,” one person wrote. Another Redditor commented, “Here for the main pop girlie beef,” while a third shared, “Waiting for full-scale Taylor-Billie feud.”
On the other hand, some slammed Billie Eilish’s manager, calling his actions unprofessional.
“Well, coming from a manager, that’s just really unprofessional,” one person remarked. Another person added, “I wonder how much longer he will be managing her. This is an unprofessional look regardless of my personal feelings about Taylor’s s**tty release strategy.” Some fans also agreed with the tweet, adding that it just showed people were tired of Swift and her antics. Others shared that Swift changing some things on her latest album wouldn’t have any impact on Eilish’s new album.
