For theย Fast and Furious franchise, it appears there is no end in sight. The eighth film in the series is set to release next year. However, Vin Diesel has confirmed, via Instagram, that the franchise already knows when their next two films will be released as well.ย Fast and Furious 9ย has claimed April 19, 2019 for its arrival whileย Fast and Furious 10ย will be unveiled on April 2, 2021.
For both of these future films, they are the first to claim their respective release dates, which may give them an edge. However, nothing else is known about the two movies.ย Fast 8 is being directed byย Straight Outta Compton‘s F. Gary Grey, and it is still too early to know if he will be returning to complete the trilogy.ย Fast 8 will be released on April 14, 2017.
Vin Dieselย seems to be one of the primary sources of information about the Fast and Furious franchise, other than Universal Studios itself. Diesel and his cast-mates were talking about the potential of future films well beforeย Fast 8 was officially announced in October.
