  • The Best Weapon for Every Character in FF7 Rebirth
This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Equipping powerful weapons for your team is important when you are chasing after a madman intent on destroying the world. The good news is that they are pretty easy to come by. The downside is that there is no overpowered gear that you can use to make the fight against Sephiroth a walk in the park. However, if you want a second opinion, we can give you some recommendations on the best weapons for all FF7 Rebirth characters and their locations.

The Best Weapon for Every Character in FF7 Rebirth

Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses. It’s up to you whether to fully lean into their strength or to make a well-rounded unit, but here are my suggestions:

Cloud

The best weapon for Cloud in FF7 Rebirth is Sleek Saber. This sword has the Firebolt Blade ability that lets you imbue fire and lightning elements into your attack. You can also perform this move while in midair, allowing you to deal with flying enemies.

Cloud’s best weapon is located at the Abandoned Dock in the Grasslands. You can also purchase Sleek Saber at the weapon shop in Kalm. This sword has the highest Attack stat in the game, and you can equip Magic Attack Power Materia if you want Cloud to be more versatile.

Tifa

Kaiser Knuckles is the best weapon for Tifa in FF7 Rebirth, and you can obtain this gear at Shinra-8 Cargo Hold. This is another weapon with high Attack power, and it has the Overpower ability. This skill lets her use other attacks to pressure enemies more effectively.

I recommend equipping the Concentration Weapon Skill to give you a 50 percent chance of entering a battle with Unbridled Strength active. These gloves will allow Tifa to stagger any enemy quickly, even those without elemental weakness, such as Ironclad.

Aerith

The best weapon for Aerith in FF7 Rebirth is Wizard’s Rod. This weapon has the Lustrous Shield ability that can create a barrier that keeps enemies at bay and stops projectiles. Aerith is pretty squishy and slow, so this skill will give her an extra layer of protection.

Not only that, but this staff also has three pairs of linked Materia slots. This is extremely useful for a spell caster since you can link offensive magic with Magic Efficiency or healing spells with Auto-Cast. The location of Aerith’s best weapon is at Mt. Corel Ascent Rest Spot in the Corel Region during Chapter 7.

Barret

Barret's Battle Cry.

Barret’s best weapon in FF7 Rebirth is Battle Cry, which you can obtain at the Temple of the Ancient Corridor of Catastrophe in Chapter 13. The Turbulent Spirit ability lets you buff your ATB charge rate once per battle.

This gear also has six Materia slots, which allows Barret to cast a lot of useful magic. Its biggest weakness is that it doesn’t have a high Attack or Magic power. So you may need to equip some stat Materia to make Barret stronger.

Red XIII

Red XIII's Amethyst Collar.

Amethyst Collar is the best weapon for Red XIII in FF7 Rebirth, and it is located inside the Old South Corel Mine in Chapter 7. This gear has the Supernal Fervor ability, which can grant Haste to the whole team. The downside is that this can only be used during Vengeance Mode and costs two ATB Gauge.

Amethyst Collar is definitely more useful if you often play as Red XIII. While this weapon makes Red XIII into support, it has a high Magic Attack stat and two Materia links that give you flexibility on the number of spells you can use in battle.

Yuffie

The best weapon for Yuffie in FF7 Rebirth is Bird of Prey, which has a Doppelganger ability. This skill allows you to create a clone of Yuffie that mimics your actions. As a bonus, this gear also has two great Weapon Skills: Critical Hit Rate +5 percent and Critical Hit Damage +10 percent.

If you unlock the Luck boost skill node in Yuffie’s Folio, this ninja will be able to deal a ton of Critical Damage to her enemies. The location of Yuffie’s best weapon is at the Gongaga Rest Spot in the Felicia Commons in Chapter 9.

Cait Sith

Cait Sith’s best weapon in FF7 Rebirth is Golden Megaphone, which you can find inside the Specimen Testing Room in Mako Research Facility. This gear allows our lovely moogle to unleash a painful punch that can increase the Stagger damage bonus.

This megaphone has a high Magic Attack stat and eight Materia slots. Not only that, but this weapon has ATB Charge Rate Up Weapon Skill, which makes it easy to spam powerful abilities.
