Final Fantasy‘s Pixel Remaster could’ve been pre-ordered, but no release date yet. If you didn’t know, Final Fantasy titles from I through VI are getting an updated Pixel Remaster, revamping visual fidelity across the board. The game was available for pre-orders and Square Enix will start charging for the game around April 5, 2023.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Release Date
It was today that the Square Enix Store revealed some details about the hyped Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster but no sign of a release date yet. The company claims they’re quite not ready to reveal a launch date for the title on console. It’s currently listed for a tentative May 31st release though.
The company stated they’re looking to start charging for pre-orders pretty soon. Players that got the opportunity to pre-order FF’s Pixel Remaster will be charged for the title on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
It’s been reported that the Square Enix Store initially messed up by charging players for FF’s Pixel Remaster within the first thirty minutes. At least they’ve cleared the air on this.
Players had been begging for a remaster of the original Final Fantasy Series. To think that the company went ahead and listened to community feedback on the franchise’s 35th anniversary is certainly a blessing in disguise.
But the collection comes at a pretty steep price. Players will be charged $70 dollars for the Remaster collection on the Nintendo Switch. But other platforms aren’t being left out.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. But sadly, there’s no release date set in stone for the upcoming title.
So what do you think of the upcoming FF’s Pixel Remaster? Did you get a chance to pre-order the game? And will it live up to the glorious classic FF days? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on TheNerdStash.
