There are few game series more cherished and beloved as Final Fantasy. The series is so popular that it has spawned numerous spin offs including a film, manga, and anime show. And among all the big name games to be released and demoed this year, few have as high of expectations as Final Fantasy XV, a game nearly 10 years in the making.
In order to help satisfy fans expectations, publisher Square Enix has decided to make Final Fantasy XV its focus for the upcoming 2015 Gamescom convention. Not only that, they will be holding “Final Fantasy XV” presentations throughout the event.
In a Twitter post, Square Enix said that its next Active Time Report will occur during Gamescon. It said in its post, “Next week we’ll be streaming Final Fantasy XV ATR 7 on August 5th, 18:00” or 9 AM PDT / 12 Noon EDT. The presentation and Q&A portion will cover many topics about the title, most likely including the much speculated release date. Square Enix executives are currently silent about a release date of Final Fantasy XV, but rumors are spreading the game will be released sometime in 2016.
Meanwhile, the “Final Fantasy XV” development team will be present every conference day to answer fan questions, provide game information, hand out freebies, and most likely help gamers who want to experience “Final Fantasy XV” first by playing the demo, “Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae Version 2.0.”
In a German press release, the game developer listed events at the Final Fantasy XV Stage, which will run throughout the five-day video game trade fair at the Stand B31/ B41 in Hall 9 of Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
