Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s first gameplay trailer is finally here, and we’ve finally got to see some in-game footage of the next MW game. This new MW3 trailer showsnew MW3 trailer, we see Task Force 141 invading the Gulag prison to capture a high-value target, AKA Vladimir Makarov. However, things don’t go as planned, as we even see Captain Price getting hit in a later scene.

The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer was released during the new Shadow Siege event in Warzone 2 Season 5. This live event is a game mode in which you play a role of a Shadow Company soldier, and you get orders from General Shephard and Philip Graves, only to destroy Zaya Observatory. This POI is marked as a Konni Group base with an underground complex containing a certain gas.
Your mission is to blow up the observatory and dig in to find and extract some of these gas containers. However, after you do the task completely, you’ll see a cutscene in which the Konni operators kill the Shadows and steal the gas. This is where the Modern Warfare 3 gameplay reveal trailer kicks off.
This trailer shows how Task Force 141 invades the famous Gulag from the first Modern Warfare game in 2019. They are trying to capture or kill an HVT, or in other words, Vladimir Makarov. But as it turns out, he’s already out, threatening the world to cause a war.

The gameplay trailer shows many current characters like Price, Farah, Soap, Gas, and Ghost. But it’s important to note that Makarov is also seen at the end of this short trailer. This character will be available via the Vault Edition if you pre-order the game. There’s also a direct reference to MW2 2022 ending cutscene, where Makarov’s soldiers plan the No Russian operation again.
You can now play the MW3 Shadow Siege event to get exclusive rewards, including the new M13C Assault Rifle. This weapon was teased with the launch of Warzone 2 Season 5. And you can unlock it now by completing a challenge in the Shadow Siege event or submitting a pre-order on MW3.
