Black Adam concept art has been revealed by megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Hollywood titan took to his Instagram page for the reveal.
Black Adam will see Dwayne Johnson Finally joining the DC Universe. Along with the first look reveal, we now also know the movie will be released into theaters in December of 2021.
In the Instagram post, the future Black Adam had this to say:
“Like most kids growing up, I dreamed about being a superhero. Having cool superpowers, fighting for what’s right and always protecting the people,” Johnson wrote in the post. “It all changed for me, when I was 10yrs old and was first introduced to the greatest superhero of all time – SUPERMAN. As a kid, Superman was the hero I always wanted to be. But, a few years into my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero, I could never be. I was too rebellious. Too rambunctious. Too resistant to convention and authority. Despite my troubles, I was still a good kid with a good heart – I just liked to do things my way. Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid – my superhero dreams have come true. I’m honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM. “
The Rock has been teasing Black Adam for some time and it seems fans will still have a while to wait. From the looks of the image and the details about the character, it might be well worth the wait. Black Adam is best known as the main antagonist to Shazam.
The Rock has stated the character will have quite the character arc. He will go from the villain to a type of anti-hero and on to possibly being a hero in the end. This will be a departure from the norm for The Rock, but this could be his most iconic role yet.
