A Florida man claims he’s fed up with people using his lot to park at the school and church near his home, saying, “This is a new low.” Going by Gay_commie_ on Reddit, the man posted to r/mildlyinfuriating, explaining how he’s generally sympathetic to the school since it lacks sufficient parking. On the flip side, he’s not so keen on letting the churchgoers get away with parking by his home, saying that it’s “just comically stupid.”
Gay_commie_ expressed that the school staff has been “good neighbors,” so resolving the parking issue with them can be done calmly. “The church, on the other hand, has lowkey gotten onto our bad side by trying to make us take down our pride flag. They might just get a surprise tow visit,” he wrote in disdain. Tens of thousands of Reddit users couldn’t believe how the Gay_commie_ puts up with inconsiderate people regularly ignoring the obvious “No Parking” sign.
Online Users Demand the Florida Churchgoer’s Truck Be Towed
“Tow truck time!” eagerly exclaimed a commenter. “If he can afford a big toy truck, he can afford to pay for the tow,” remarked another user, referring to the truck in OP’s post. “Typical holier than thou performative Christian bs. Not saying they all are, but there’s a lot of them,” expressed a third.
Gay_commie_ says his “instinct is always be merciful and to avoid making people pay” for what could be an innocent mistake on their part. However, the truck he posted on Reddit had been constantly parking in his lot without fail. “It’s a pattern of behavior, and I need to actually enforce the rules here if I want to see them respected,” he remarked.
Unfortunately, the church’s pastor is allegedly unhelpful with the Florida man’s predicament, despite having been confronted multiple times. “She lets her congregation get away with so much [expletive] on our side of the fence,” he wrote.
Based on Gay_commie_’s comment, the pastor seemingly puts her people over a nearby private property manager’s wishes. That said, her actions could portray a rather poor example of the ‘godly testimony’ for this neighbor living by her church.
