A video of a college student in Florida is going viral after he confronted his professor during a lecture about how difficult he felt the course was.

One student in the class was recording the confrontation as the student stood up during a Physics lecture to address the professor. Apparently, the entire class was struggling with the course material. During the exchange, the student told the professor that what he was saying was “[expletive], bro,” and then stated that he was going to drop out.

In response, the professor told the student that his difficulty with the material was a “skill issue,” a remark that quickly drew attention online. The student reacted strongly, replying, “Skill issue my [expletive].”

The student then said that the majority of the class was failing the subject. “Like this class is the reason I’m dropping out, dude,” he told the professor, a moment that led some viewers online to express sympathy for him. Before leaving, he added, “I’m doing blue collar [expletive].” He then jumped over the classroom seats and exited. The incident sparked discussion online, with many questioning how difficult the course must have been for a student to decide to drop out.

Mixed Reactions After Video of Florida College Student

The video sparked many reactions online. Overall, the Florida incident divided people. Some viewers found the confrontation humorous, while others argued that college courses should not feel overwhelmingly difficult for students. “i’m actually on dudes side. Everyone shouldn’t be failing,” one person wrote. Another user suggested that experiences like this are not uncommon in difficult subjects, saying, “This genuinely how it feels taking a hard class with a terrible professor, you’ll drop the class, retake it with a different professor and realize you really wasn’t the problem at all.”

Others discussed the student’s claim that much of the class was failing, with some arguing it reflects poorly on the teaching or curriculum. “The entire point of education is for students to learn, if all of your students are failing (specifically at the collegiate level), you’re not doing your job as an educator and the school is even further at fault because I guarantee this is a trend,” one person wrote. Some pushed back, saying difficult outcomes are common in subjects like physics and engineering. “Everyone in every physics class is always failing, same with engineering, unless you are part of gifted elite. Dramatic curves near the end help but you need to prepare your emotions. You do a ton of rigorous study and end up blowing it on tests. You have to have a strong desire to learn physics to make it though,” another commenter on Reddit said.

The video sparked widespread discussion online, with many viewers agreeing with the student’s frustration while others criticized the professor’s response, leading to a divided reaction over the confrontation and the broader issue of course difficulty.
