A Florida conservative who posted a video on X mocking former First Lady Michelle Obama for her appearance and questioning her gender is getting heavily criticized online for her comments. The video was shared in response to a post praising Michelle and has since gone viral, racking up more than 570,000 views.
The controversy began after X user @AZ_Brittney shared a collage of the former First Lady’s magazine covers. In the caption she wrote, “Michelle Obama on the covers of Vogue. She was everything a First Lady should be. I stand with Michelle Obama! Who is with me?” The post came shortly after UFC fighter Josh Hokit made headlines for referring to Michelle as “a man” during an event on the White House South Lawn on Sunday.
Reacting to the post, the Florida woman said she never understood why so many people viewed Michelle as beautiful. She argued that Michelle’s appearance had been exaggerated by the media and questioned whether people genuinely believed the praise she received.
“The biggest scandal in our country was not Watergate, it was not Epstein, it was not elections stolen in 2021. It was this,” she said while pointing to the photos. “It was convincing millions of people that Michelle Obama was in fact beautiful, classy, graceful.”
The woman implied that the former First Lady is secretly a man. At one point, she pointed to one of the Vogue covers and speculated about what she believed the pose was hiding.
She also criticized Michelle’s efforts to promote healthier school lunches during her time in the White House, claiming the initiative made meals less enjoyable for students.
Netizens Defend Michelle Obama
Many netizens on X did not seem to agree with the woman and rushed to defend Michelle in the comment section. “She IS beautiful. You on the other hand are ugly inside and outside!” one person wrote. Another commented, “Why do you even care so much that you have to tear down a brilliant, accomplished—successful in every way, and gorgeous inside and out—woman?”
Others questioned the woman’s state of mind. “It must really suck to have your mind, thoughts and opinion! Like the things you say are so beyond ridiculous that one has to wonder if you are psychologically ‘okay’!” one commenter remarked. Someone else added, “What a horrible, unwell person you are. A desire to go online and accuse someone of something and just be nasty about their appearance.”
Several viewers also pushed back on her criticism of Michelle’s school lunch initiative. “She said Michelle Obama making school lunches healthier for kids ruined it bc they had apples?😠the biggest scandal wasn’t Epstein the child trafficker but the First Lady???” one comment read.
At the same time, there were people who sided with the woman. One supporter wrote, “I’m not pretending! I call a man who is one a man.” Another said, “Not even heavy filters and photoshop can hide how unattractive she is… she a He/Man.” A third claimed, “Her school lunches were the opposite of healthy. Almost no nutrition and super sugary drinks and snacks.”
While rumors about Michelle’s gender have persisted online for years, no evidence has ever emerged to suggest she is anything other than what she has publicly presented herself to be. As a result, the claims continue to be regarded as speculation rather than established fact.
