While Florida may be having its own troubles right now, especially with the elections coming up, it seems another unwanted factor, according to locals, has landed in the state; more specifically, in Miami. In this case, we are talking about Flavio Bolsonaro, the presidential candidate who lost the elections in Brazil. Apparently, he recently arrived in Miami, and given the allegations against this politician, some residents are not happy that the state is welcoming him.
Originally reported by CBC, presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro, from Brazil, arrived in Miami, Florida, a couple of days ago. As you can see in the above report, he apparently arrived in a private airplane in the city this week.
For those who don’t know, Bolsonaro reportedly traveled through Argentina and Ecuador before eventually arriving in Miami. The Trump administration also granted visas to Bolsonaro and his family, allowing them to enter the United States.
Right now, it seems there is a dispute in Brazil, where Bolsonaro claims he is the winner and the elected president. On top of that, Trump has also mentioned that the elections in Brazil were rigged. Yet, it seems many others around the world have now recognized Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as the legitimate winner.
Politics aside, his arrival in the Sunshine State hasn’t gone down well with everyone. Several locals are already furious at the fact that he’s in the state.
Florida Residents Want Flavio Bolsonaro Out of the State
After the above article went viral on Reddit, many members of the Miami subreddit started sharing their thoughts on the matter, with the majority talking about how Flavio Bolsonaro should return to Brazil.
“Just what we need. Another corrupt person.”
“I want law and order; send this man back to Brazil so he can face the music. He won’t be doing anything to help locals or his community.“
Some even commented that this isn’t the first time the Trump administration has welcomed some controversial figures in the state.
“Trump also welcomed the Tate brothers to Florida when they were fleeing. Hasn’t worked out that well for them.“
Right now, things are heating up in the city, and it seems that this politician’s arrival just made things worse. While many are hoping for Bolsonaro to return to Brazil, there haven’t been any statements from the Trump administration or the local government.
