Instead, the woman accused the employee and the store of discrimination. “She discriminated against my autistic niece stimming,” she wrote over the video.
The video began with the woman explaining her niece’s condition and threatening to sue the store, claiming that the employee’s request amounted to discrimination. The employee responded that she had not said anything about the girl’s autism and was asking the woman to keep an eye on her. In response, the woman argued that her niece did not have the “mental capacity like other children.”
The employee then insisted that the request was not discriminatory and explained that she was simply asking the woman to keep her niece by her side. She also called her niece’s mother and told her that she should sue the store, claiming that the employee had discriminated against her daughter. “She’s really just stimming. Being herself.
