No patience

Working in the service industry is by no means an easy job. Videos on social media apps like TikTok show countless altercations between workers and customers, mainly at fast food restaurants. Well, what happens when it’s the employees being rude and not the customer? Well, that’s pretty much the case for this Florida woman, as she tries to order KFC for her disabled father. In a recently viral TikTok posted to the account @Janet2you, viewers see the encounter for themselves. The clip now has over 1 million views as well as 75K likes.

I don’t work at KFC and when did it become my job to know that you are on a timer and is the drive-through only for people who can order fast is my dad not able to have a disability and come through the drive-through because you have a timer

The TikTok starts as viewers are already thrown straight into the action. The woman in her car can be heard saying, “I’m sorry,” as she did not hear the employee. The KFC worker can then be heard telling the Florida woman that they are on a timer, and she needs to order her food. However, the customer was not happy about being rushed. She then claims she is trying to order food for her father, who is disabled. The KFC employee then states that “That’s perfectly fine,” but she then reminds them again that they are “on a timer.”

Florida Woman Gets Timed in KFC Drive-Thru

Being on a timer while going through a drive-thru isn’t necessarily too strange. They are typically used to keep the drive-thru rolling in an orderly fashion. However, the worker telling the customer they are on a timer might be the most unusual part of this video. However, despite the employee being slightly rude, it would seem some of the TikTok’s comments are on her side. “Just hurry up and order,” wrote one.

After the KFC employee would repeat herself yet again, the Florida woman would calmly state that she had recorded their conversation, and then she just drives off. This seemingly left some TikTok users confused as they wondered what the point of her even going to the KFC was in the first place. “Why do people go through the drive-thru if they don’t know what they want?” asked another.

This would appear to be just another strange encounter in the state of Florida, as TikTok and other social media apps are filled with them. However, as for the woman and her father, hopefully, they got the meal they were looking for. While the KFC employee could have handled the situation better, at the end of the day, nobody was hurt, and they all went on their way.
