Tesla terror strikes again as a Florida woman shared the horrifying moment her car started moving entirely on its own. She was sitting inside her Tesla, not touching the gas pedal at all, when the vehicle suddenly began rolling forward. Even worse, a tow truck was parked directly in front of her, and she watched helplessly as the car crept toward it until it finally collided.
In her first video, she stepped out and showed the damage: deep scratches scraped across the front of the Tesla. She explained that she was slamming the brakes the entire time, but the car refused to stop.
This situation is very serious. Just like the Florida woman said, something like this could have killed her. In another video, she posted the dash cam recording that showed what happened. In the video, you could see the tow truck waiting in traffic in front of her. The woman had kept some distance between her and the truck, but that didn’t last for long. Very slowly, the Tesla started rolling and moving toward the tow truck. This was quite terrifying to the driver. According to her, it was going half a mile per hour even though she was pressing on the brakes. In the end, the car did hit the truck, and that was when it finally stopped.
Despite the woman contacting Tesla, they refused to take accountability, saying that they had never heard of something similar. They should have still checked the car because if the circumstances were different, this accident could have been a lot worse. Since some might think that the self-driving option was on, and that’s why the car behaved like this, the driver clarified that her Tesla doesn’t have this option. So it basically malfunctioned and endangered her life.
People Reacting to What Happened to the Florida Woman’s Tesla
Instead of sympathizing with the Florida woman, people started criticizing her for driving a Tesla in the first place. After all, many believe that no one would be safe while driving this kind of car. This is why one person wrote, “Yea babe your driving a computer.” Another person then agreed and said, “omg i say this all the time and no shade to this girl because that would’ve been very scary‼ but baby it’s computer, and computers malfunction.” Someone else wrote, “I think it’s so weird ppl are actually buying Tesla.” There was even one comment encouraging the woman to sell her car as it said, “Sell that tesla, people die in those things!”
More people piled on the Florida woman for owning a Tesla, with one critic warning her, “Tesla is a lie. That is a literal computer on four tires. A massive bomb too because of the batteries in that thing. They can hack those cars and make them do whatever they want and you can’t do ANYTHING‼ Watch that movie Leave the World Behind. I’m thankful it wasn’t worse than that.”
Fortunately, not every comment was an attack. Some people actually sympathized with her. “Wow, I’m sorry this happened to you but I’m glad you’re okay,” one woman wrote. Another added, “This is some Final Destination [expletive]. They NEED to take responsibility! Wtf, that’s your life. Get a different car, honey it’s not worth your life. I’m sorry you went through this!”
Hopefully, nothing like this happens to her again.
