Five Nights at Freddy’s fans may soon get the chance to do something that sounds like a terrible idea — at least if you’re living in the game’s universe. Yes, gamers will actually get a chance to visit Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in real life. The official social media account of American Dream Mall has revealed a teaser for something big and FNAF-related coming in 2027 for its 12th anniversary.

The social media post reads, “Fantasy and Fun Come to Life in 2027 – Only at American Dream,” while tagging FNAF‘s account. The embedded teaser video also reveals that Freddy’s is ‘coming to life’ with a grand opening in 2027. The X post has since been retweeted by FNAF’s official account, @FNAF_ScottGames.

While pretty surprising, the possibility of a FNAF theme park was already being discussed by fans before the official announcement. A theory posted ahead of the reveal even successfully deduced American Dream as the potential location for Scott Cawthon’s FNAF 12th anniversary plans.

The internet sleuth analyzed a simple teaser photo of a pizza posted by Cawthon and found hints related to the mall. They also pointed out that American Dream’s Instagram account had accidentally followed a fan-run FNAF Instagram account. Not long after, Cawthon also finally made an Instagram account for the game series, @fnaf_scottgames.

However, fans are split on the news. On one hand, plenty are excited about the idea of physically stepping into the FNAF universe. Replying to the announcement, an X user wrote, “wait 2027 for a whole fnaf world at american dream is actually insane.” Another echoed the sentiment, “this is #$@%&*^ mind boggling.” One user perhaps best represented the excitement with, “LETS GOO MAN!!!!” While another jokingly wrote, “CANT WAIT TO GET STUFFED INTO AN ANIMATRONIC!!!”

But not everyone was thrilled. One commenter from Europe disappointedly replied, “it’s really exciting to have a irl location i am just sad i won’t be able to go since i am from Europe🥹 but oh well i’ll have to watch vlogs i guessss.” Another pointed out that the location won’t exactly be accessible to every fan worldwide, writing, “Only in the US. Because FNaF only has American fans appariently.” Some, however, would rather just get a new game before a theme park, “okay thats crazy but we want the game man.”

Still, if you can make it to American Dream, don’t forget to experience Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza for yourself sometime in 2027. Just remember to check the cameras.
