United States Secretary of Health and Human Services and former New York attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a television appearance recently in which he made various claims concerning vaccinations in the midst of a measles epidemic.
Various political figures and commentators have weighed in on the claims RFK Jr. made during his appearance, including alleging that Dr. Anthony Fauci had a pulmonary infarction as a result of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
The post above was written by Washington Senator Patty Murray in response to a different X post with the caption, “RFK Jr: ‘Americans no longer public health, and they shouldn’t”“
Her response to the post reads, “When America’s top health official is constantly pushing conspiracy theories, trust in public health takes a hit—and we’re seeing the consequences in real time. There are record measles cases for a reason. RFK Jr. is a threat to public health & should RESIGN.”
Another person who posted criticism of RFK Jr.’s appearance was CNN Medical Analyst Jonathan Reiner, who responded to a video in which RFK Jr. says, “Because of Dr Fauci’s leadership and other reasons, we had the highest mortality rate from COVID of any country in the world.”
Reiner’s response to this was, “In reality US had the 15th highest per capita COVID death rate in the world and a lot of that had to do with the fact that 20% of the country remained unvaccinated. He called the mRNA vaccines the deadliest vaccines ever. RFK Jr is entitled to his own opinion but not his own facts.“
Comments and Reactions to RFK Jr.’s Television Appearance
Commenters under each of these seemed largely against what RFK Js. said, with one person writing, “@realRFKJrknows more about heroin at this point than he ever will understand about vaccines–any vaccines.“
Similarly, another person wrote, “I look forward to this guy being grilled by Congress after the midterms and then hopefully removed then imprisoned.” However, there were also many commenters who agreed with the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Under Senator Patty Murray’s post, another person wrote, “Guess you forgot about Fauci and many of us waking up to no longer trusting our public health system. Add to it King Inslee putting Covid patients in with our most vulnerable citizens in care facilities, killing many.“
Concerning a claim made by RFK Jr. where he said, “[Fauci] got vaccinated at a very, very public press conference … and then five months later, he had a pulmonary infarction — which is one of the adverse events NIH, CDC and FDA said are expected from the vaccine. He never told anybody,” various people agreed.
Many comments under a post with this clip say something along the lines of, “I’m amazed he took the actual concoction. I assumed every major politician and medical advocate for the “vax” was shown taking a saline or glucose solution shot. Wow, he was stupidly enough to take the actual shot!!! With all he knew about the fraud!“
