Another publicized health scare happened in 2021, leading to his 6-day hospitalization for a blood infection. The latest update on Bill’s health following his Monday scare suggests the former president is in no immediate danger.
The one-time POTUS was admitted to a hospital in Washington on Monday afternoon after coming down with a fever. In an update following his hospitalization, Bill Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Urena revealed to news outlets that “the president is fine,” and in good spirits. The rep also disclosed that the 78-year-old appreciated the care and concern he received in the wake of his health scare. However, to better aid his recovery and affirm his heath, Bill Clinton was expected to remain hospitalized, undergoing “testing and observation” for at least a night at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. They however clarified that his condition was “not urgent or dire by any means.”

On Tuesday evening, the 42nd POTUS’s office shared another health update, revealing Bill Clinton’s discharge from the hospital. In a post on X, Angel Urena, his deputy chief of staff wrote,
“President Clinton was discharged earlier today after being treated for the flu. He and his family aredeefly grateful for the exceptional careprovided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received.”
Bill Clinton, who is the second-youngest living former US president previously suffered another respiratory tract-related viral disease in November 2022, testing positive for COVID-19 at the time. Thankfully, the veteran Democrat survived the health crisis after undergoing treatment. Coming down with the flu is only the latest in the long list of health crises plaguing him over the years.
