Frostpunk has been receiving regular updates and DLC for quite some time now, bringing the excellent title to a higher level of quality. Players have been experiencing said content and thus far, most are loving it. The Rifts may not have received the greatest of reviews, but The Last Autumn got universal praise for offering a new and unique way to play Frostpunk. With the final DLC On The Edge recently announced, players have been wondering when to see the grand conclusion to the DLC saga. Today we have that news, as we now know that Frostpunk: On the Edge releases on August 20th. With it comes a lot of new mechanics and gameplay twists to learn, so it should be a lot of fun. The team celebrated the news with a trailer that you can find below.

On The Edge does the opposite of what The Last Autumn tried to cover. While that DLC looked at a prequel to Frostpunk, On The Edge looks to cover the events after the game’s story. An army warehouse has been brought out from the shadows, and a scouting party has been sent to investigate. It’s up to the player to use this scouting party, setting up a camp and managing resources. With this army warehouse, you may have the next step towards building a bright future for humanity.

This premise for the DLC is already great and is only elevated by the gameplay it’ll provide. Frostpunk’s upcoming DLC promises a completely new map with new structures to explore and scavenge. Using some new methods at your disposal, you’ll unite or divide your people in the quest to colonize the region. That, of course, will require you to have good relations with others in the area. On The Edge looks to provide a unique experience to an already great and unique game, and we can’t wait to see it.

Frostpunk: On The Edge releases on August 20th for PC through Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store. Are you excited for On the Edge? What were your thoughts on the other DLCs? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
