Here Are the Free Xbox Games With Gold For August 2018

As August quickly approaches, Microsoft has once again outlined the free games you will get with Games with Gold for the month. This month once again sees four unique titles available across Xbox One and Xbox 360.

On Xbox One, Forza Horizon 2 and For Honor are available. Forza Horizon 2 will be available to download for the duration of the month whereas For Honor will be free from August 16^th to September 15^th. As for Xbox 360 titles, Dead Space 3 will be available from the 1^st to the 15^th. Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will be available from the 16^th to the 31^st.

Overall, I see this as a strong month for Xbox Live Gold fans. Forza Horizon 2 features an open world driving simulation where players can seamlessly drive into races online. It’s still a gorgeous game even after numerous years and additional iterations in the franchise.

For Honor is an online arena fighting game that pits Samaria, Knights and Vikings against each other. Fans who have jumped in before will know that the game has a lot going for it, with a vibrant online community to boot. If you haven’t checked this title out before, now is the time to jump in with a fourth class being added sometime this year.

Additionally, the 3^rd entry in the Dead Space series will put players back into the shoes of our favorite space engineer Isaac Clark. Dead Space 3 takes a more action oriented approach allowing players to cooperatively play through the entire game with a buddy. It’s the least well received entry in the series but for the low price of free could still make for a fun play through with a friend. Epic Mickey 2 also supports cooperative play so it seems that Microsoft is heavily focusing on that this month.

Finally, Xbox Live Gold members should note that Death Squared and Assault Android are still available until August 1^st, so be sure to pick those up before it’s too late.
