General Hospital actress Nancy Lee Grahn is once again causing a stir on social media. The star, who plays Alexis Davis on the ABC soap opera, is outspoken in her political beliefs. She isn’t afraid to voice her dislike for former President Donald Trump. When Trump was shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, the actress was quick to chime in with her two cents.
On July 13th, Donald Trump was speaking to supporters at a rally when a gunman aimed at the former President. Secret Service rushed the stage to protect Trump, who was nicked in the right ear by a bullet. As he was escorted off the stage, the Presidential candidate gave a fist pump and yelled “fight.”
Following the event, social media lit up with people’s reactions. While many expressed sympathy for Trump, others didn’t show kindness. Some people question whether the assassination attempt was a PR stunt for Trump’s campaign.
Nancy Lee Grahn was among the few who believed in the conspiracy. On her X account, the actress retweeted the fist pump photo, then wrote:
Been on Soaps for yrs. I know a Diva Cheeseball when I see one. 1st the descent down the escalator, then 4 yrs of bad acting & refusing to leave the stage, 4 yrs of tantrums & now this. Just give him a Goddamned Daytime Emmy & let him use it as a hood ornament 4 his golf cart.
The comment section was flooded with support from fans who agreed with the General Hospital actress. However, there were a few people, who felt her words were uncalled for.
Lady I love ya on gh but you’re too much! Just stop already.
Another follower wrote:
You truly are what’s wrong with this country, I’m a true Democrat, and to listen to the hate you spit out makes me sick. I feel for anyone who has to work beside you on GH.
Another commenter responded:
U make a difference. U are one of reasons I stopped after 30 yrs of watching GH. So full of yourself.
While the media focus has been on Trump, one rally attendee died and two were critically wounded.
Like many people, Grahn is passionate when it comes to speaking out about politics. However, her rants sometimes get her into trouble, and she tends to make matters worse by arguing with fans who disagree with her. In the wake of the recent events, the actress has decided to take a breather, which might be a good thing for her.
