Horizon Zero Dawn‘s Aloy wasn’t the only exciting arrival to Genshin Impact. Raiden Shogun was another other highly anticipated 5-star character. Raiden Shogun has Electro abilities and can increase the Elemental Burst Damage of all party members. While players can mix and match gear for her as they choose, the best weapon for her at the time of release was the Engulfing Lightning Polearm coupled with the “Emblem of Severed Fate” Artifact Set. Here’s how to get Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Raiden Shogun

To obtain Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact, players need to participate in the Event Wish “Reign of Serenity.” It is unlikely that anyone will unlock her on the first few gacha pulls, so players need to have saved a hefty chunk of Primogems in advance or spend their time earning more during the event.

Players may need to work doubly hard to farm Primogems to acquire the 5-star Polearm and Raiden Shogun during Reign of Serenity. For that reason, it’s wise to focus on grinding challenges, daily quests, and other methods to earn Primogems. Here is a list of Ascension materials needed to rank up Raiden Shogun.

  • Vajrada Amethyst: This resource can be obtained by defeating the Electro Hypostasis in Mondstadt.
  • Storm Beads: These beads are dropped from the Electro Oceanid boss.
  • Tenkumo Fruit: This fruit will spawn on Seirai Island.
  • Handguards: These materials are dropped by specific enemies in Inazuma.

With Raiden Shogun on your team, you can send your enemies to an early grave with some potent electrical abilities. You don’t even need a team devoted to it, although perfecting your team composition never hurts.
