Elemental Reactions are a fundamental part of any build or team composition, as Reactions provide special Status effects and types of damage. For that, you must know how all the Elemental reactions in Genshin Impact synergize, like Burgeon or Bloom, to trigger them in combat. All characters have a designed kit; some are better with only one Elemental Reaction, while others can be more flexible and use more combos. For example, in Genshin Impact, Kinich is an ideal Dendro character for Burgeon combos, while you can use the Shogun for various Elemental Reactions with Electro like Hyperbloom.

Dendro Resonance
You should also analyze how many and which characters of each Element you will use in your team, as certain combinations can give you an advantage. If you have more Dendro characters in your team, you will get the Dendro Resonance “Sprawling Greenery,” which has the following effect:
Elemental Mastery increased by 50. After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom, all nearby party members gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The duration of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.
How to Trigger All Dendro Elemental Reactions and Combos in Genshin Impact
Some of the Elemental Reactions have a specific order to apply them, and you must know how to create the rotation depending on your team. This is a quick guide for you to create your team composition:
Burning (Dendro + Pyro)
One of the simplest of Dendro’s Elemental Reactions is Burning. To trigger Burning, you must apply Dendro to the enemy and then use Pyro, or vice versa. Burning deals Pyro damage over time, similar to burning the grass around you.
Bloom (Dendro + Hydro)
Genshin Impact has fancier and flashier Elemental reactions like Burgeon or Hyperbloom, for which you need to know how to apply three Elements to trigger them. The first step is to create Blom by combining Hydro and Dendro to create a “seed” called Dendro Core. You can only have 5 Dendro Cores at a time, and if you make the sixth, your first seed will disappear after an explosion. The DMG that your Dendro Core explosions do depends on the character that triggers the Reaction. For example, if you use first Barbara and then Collei, Collei will determine how much DMG those Dendro Cores will do.
After doing the Bloom Reaction, you can create either of these two Elemental Reactions:
- Hyperbloom (Dendro Core + Electro)
After creating your Dendro Cores, apply Electro to create Sprawling Shots, projectiles that will attack the enemy dealing Dendro DMG. It will be the Electro character that will mark the DMG of the Hyperbloom Reaction. - Burgeon (Dendro Core + Pyro)
Applying Pyro to the Dendro Cores will make the seeds explode, dealing AoE Dendro DMG. Take advantage of the proximity of the Cores to use a Pyro attack and cause a chain reaction. The DMG amount will depend on the Pyro character.
Catalyze – Quicken (Dendro + Electro)
Using Dendro and Electro creates the Catalyze Reaction, leaving the Quicken Aura on the enemies. You can identify if an enemy has the Quicken Aura because they will have a flash of green lightning with some glowing leaves around them.
As with Bloom, you can create two other Elemental Reactions from Catalyze – Quicken:
- Aggravate (Quicken + Electro)
Once your enemy has the Quicken Aura, apply Electro, increasing your Electro DMG over the affected enemies. - Spread (Quicken + Dendro)
Apply Dendro to an enemy with Quicken Aura, increasing your Dendro DMG on the affected enemies.
To keep any of these Dendro Reactions for much longer, you must repeat the combo, reapplying the elements on the enemy. If you want to improve the DMG of your Reactions, you need to increase the Elemental Mastery of your characters, especially those that trigger the effect. For example, if you use Collei to apply Dendro and then Bennett to trigger Burning or Burgeon, it is best to increase Bennett’s EM with artifacts in Genshin Impact and use his Elemental Burst first.
