Besides having Saurians, Natlan also features several new unique challenges that you can complete to get free rewards. One of the areas you can visit in Genshin Impact is Huitztli Hill, which contains a rather vexing puzzle. In fact, many players may not even realize there is one until they accidentally activate it. You actually have to find three glowing lights to uncover the Nightsoul Totem. If you complete this challenge, you can access the Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Local Legend boss fight.

You can find this Huitztli Hill puzzle on the northern side of the plateau near the small river. Several groups of enemies can be found in this location, so I recommend you clear them out first. To complete this challenge and unlock the Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Local Legend boss, you must find three lights scattered around this zone.

The first light can be found hidden inside the hollow tree. Unfortunately, the exit path is blocked by a box. To move it, you have to enter the tree, grab the Grappling Hook, and then attach it to the box. Afterward, you can shift to a Yumkasaur and use its ability to move the object. If the light doesn’t move, try to encourage it by moving closer.

The second light is easier to find. Just head east, and at the end of the river, you will find a red rock jutting out of the ground near Condessence Crystals. Then, use the Yumkasaur’s ability to make it move.

Third light location in the puzzle.

The last light in the Huitztli Hill puzzle can be found trapped inside a Condessence Crystal. It is located north of the river near the entrance to the tree hollow. You can use Geo characters or Claymore users to break these rocks.

How To Beat Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Local Legend

After solving the Huitztli Hill puzzle, you will receive one Luxurious Chest and unlock the Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis Local Legend. To face this optional boss, interact with the Nightsoul Totem. Unlike the world bosses, all Local Legends are tough combat challenges. If you want to beat this monster, you have to prepare a good team that can survive ridiculous damages.

The main gimmick of this fight is the Land of Decision. After you damage the boss for a certain amount, you will get sent to this other realm. You can immediately head back, but I suggest killing some mobs to get DMG buff. However, in return, the on-field character will suffer an HP drain.

Here is the strategy I suggest to beat Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis:

  • Bring a healer instead of a shielder.
  • Kill two mobs to get DMG buff.
  • Attack the boss until you get sent back.
  • Repeat the process until it’s dead.
