The infamous Eleven Fatui Harbingers are well-known as being the Tsaritsa’s lieutenants with absolute authority to do as they please. In Genshin Impact, Pierro is top-ranked among the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Much of these enemies remain elusive. However, we’ll touch on everything there is to know about Pierro right now. The better you know your enemy, the better you can approach them when the time comes.
Who is Pierro in Genshin Impact?
Like others in the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, Pierro is more powerful than the average allogenes in Genshin Impact. This is thanks to all of them being boosted with Delusions via Royal Highness the Tsaritsa. Not only that, but Pierro is also the first Fatui member and the first Harbinger.
Referred to as “The Jester” in Genshin Impact, it’s clear of the hold Pierro has over his fellow members in the trailer alone. He ends their arguing with ease. We also know the high respect he held for Signora specifically as he refers to her as her as “Rosalyne.”
His contribution to the Fatui Harbingers is clear, too as he personally recruited the following members:
- II Dottore
- Signora
- Pantalone
- Scaramouche
In Genshin Impact, Pierro gave the late Signora, when she was known as the Crimson Witch of Flames, her Cryo Delusion. He also gave Tartaglia his Delusion.
Concerning his appearance, Pierro sports a half-mask. From what we can see of him, he appears to be a slightly older man with all-white long hair paired with a short white beard. He looks regal and imposing all in one.
Pierro Lore in Genshin Impact
Most of Pierro’s background in the game remains a mystery. There’s a possibility that he hails from Khaenri’ah, thanks to his Primogen-shaped pupils. The theory holds well, thanks to the lore you can get from the Mocking Mask piece in the Pale Flame Artifact Set.
We know Pierro was unable to stop his country from its destruction, urging him to join the Tsaritsa’s cause as he felt she understood his pain.
As the starting Fatui member, Pierro wasn’t just recruiting members, but he’s responsible for many of their missions. In Genshin Impact, Pierro dispatched Scaramouche to Liyue.
He was also behind the Fatui’s interference in Inazuma. Furthermore, he ordered some captured Shogunate renegades to be brought in as test subjects. We’ve yet to learn exactly what those experiments were.
Pierro Trivia
Thanks to an official Twitter announcement, we know that Pierro’s voice actor in Genshin Impact is Yasuhiro Mamiya. He’s best known for voicing the following:
- Manboshi (One Piece)
- Dirk (Attack on Titans S3)
- Magma (Dr. Stone)
- Gengar (Pokémon 2019)
- Sidra | Jimizu | Iwan (Dragon Ball Super)
For some interesting trivia about Pierro’s name in Genshin Impact, it comes from “Pierrot,” a clown known in the Italian theater. The Pierrot is a sad clown, in fact, that pined for Columbine. However, Columbine typically leaves him for Harlequin, breaking his heart.
As for if we’ll ever get to play as Pierro in-game, that’s currently unknown.
