For several weeks, the Genshin Impact fan community has been speculating about leaks of a third character banner. This excites many players since they won’t have to wait for their desired 5-star to appear again while new characters still get featured. But it also worries some others that they will have to get more Primogems or go bankrupt because they want to pull all the waifus and husbandos in the game. Genshin Impact Third Banner Could Include Only Characters From the Same Nation
In the beginning, many believed it was about having three simultaneous banners that could include new characters and re-runs, with a mechanic similar to the double banners. Until version 4.4, Genshin Impact has two 5-star character banners in two phases. The type of characters that appear in the promotional banner does not follow a specific pattern; sometimes, it’s because of a new event. It also depends on the arrival of a new nation that comes with new characters. For example, Fontaine arrived with Furina, Navia, and more characters who debuted in continuous patches.
At first, fans thought this third banner would promote Genshin Impact characters according to their birthdays, like Bennett, who would appear on February 29th. This prevents fans from waiting so long for a character like Eula, who took over a year to appear again in the game. But the well-known leaker, MeroMero, announced that a third banner in Genshin Impact has been confirmed and that the characters will be from the same nation. Other leaks said that Albedo would be in this new banner, so now the community believes that more characters belonging to Mondstadt will appear.
In Genshin Impact, the permanent banner has 5-star characters like Dehya, Diluc, Jean, Keching, Mona, Qiqi, and Tighnari. In addition, there is also a banner for new players featuring Noelle. It is unknown exactly how this third banner will work in Genshin Impact if it will only always be the same nation or if they will be changing to other regions. For now, players will have to wait for HoYoverse to announce this information officially, but this will surely be done through a Special Program.
