How To Get Tailor’s Flooring in V Rising

Don’t get blood on these floors, they’re hard to mop

Once you’re done enslaving humans, slaying their saints, and terrorizing their towns, it’s time to sit back and relax in your vampire Castle in V Rising. Of course, a Castle can only be as good as its style– it has to have some creature comforts instead of looking just like an oversized coffin. Thankfully, a simple way to design your Castle in V Rising would be through the Tailor’s Flooring, something we’ll teach you how to obtain and use.

Requirements for Tailor Flooring in V Rising

Just as with all the good stuff in V Rising, Tailor Flooring is something you’ll have to work towards, and it won’t be readily available. It’s also a bit of a long process, so let’s get to that:

  1. Ensure that your equipment puts you at Level 47 or higher.
  2. Open the V Blood Carrier boss list and look for Maja the Dark Savant. Hunt her down and slay her.
  3. You can find Maja in The Forbidden Tower in Dunley Farmlands.
  4. Once slain, Maja the Dark Savant will grant you the schematics for the Study structure, which is an upgrade from the research desk.
  5. Build the Study in your Castle and use it to research Tailor’s Flooring for 75 Scrolls (results are random).
  6. Alternatively, you can prepare 64 Silver Coins and go to the Rural Book Merchant at Dunley Farmers Market in Dunley Farmlands. Buy the Tailor’s Flooring blueprint from the Merchant. This way, you can bypass the Study RNG.

After the research or once you have the recipe, you’ll finally be able to build Tailor’s Flooring, which is one of the nicest-looking floor types in the game and even comes with a production bonus if used right.

How to Build & Use the Tailor’s Flooring

Once Tailor’s Flooring is ready, it should now appear in your structures or buildings list (under the Castle – Foundations section). Each 1×1 tile of Tailor’s Flooring requires the following resources:

  • Plank x4
  • Cloth x2

The Cloth part is a bit more troublesome to produce compared to the plank, but both resources are manageable enough. Additionally, the Tailor’s Flooring comes in three colors or patterns, though each of them has the same effects; simply pick one based on your preference.

You’ll also want to place the Tailor’s Flooring strategically in your Castle because they provide crafting and processing bonuses (+25% processing speed and –25% crafting resource cost) to the following structures and tools:

  • Tailoring Bench
  • Leatherworking Station
  • Tannery
  • Advanced Tannery
  • Loom
  • Advanced Loom

Any of these structures that are placed on top of a Tailor’s Flooring will work faster or yield more resources, and it just so happens that the Loom is used to refine resources into Cloth. So that covers one of the tedious requirements for the Tailor’s Flooring.

Important note: Tailor’s Flooring has to be enclosed with walls and a door (basically a room) so you can activate their bonus. A whole room thus has to have Tailor’s Flooring exclusively if you want that crafting and refinement bonus; one wrong flooring type will deactivate the bonus.
