But new leaks show that for Version 4.8 of Genshin Impact, other characters may receive their new skins. Although these selected characters may not belong to Liyue, it seems that those who will receive this makeover all come from the same nation, Mondstadt.
Genshin Impact 4.8 Character Skins Could Be For Albedo, Sucrose, and Amber
On a recurring basis, HoYoverse always suffers from information leaks regarding new characters, concept art, kits, and much more. But among all these waves of leaks and the community, there was talk of the appearance of a skin for Amber. However, this was before the announcement of Xingqiu’s new look, even before the Kaeya and Klee skins in Sumeru version 3.8. But one of the well-known community leakers, Uncle R, mentioned that for Genshin Impact 4.8, the characters Albedo, Sucrose, and Amber will receive their skins. Only four patches away from the most recent outfit changes.
Also, we should remember that Amber had a “redesign” along with Mona, Rosaria, and Jean; this is because the government-related issues in these characters’ clothing were considered too revealing. It has been a long time since players could interact mostly with Amber, although Albedo and Sucrose made a small appearance at the Windblume Festival of 2023. These new skins for these characters in Version 4.8 may be due to the new edition of the Genshin Impact Mondstadt’s Windblume festival in 2024. Usually, this festival takes place right after the end of the Lintern Rite, which is the celebration of Chinese New Year. So, the Windblume Festival usually starts in March to bring spring into the game.
