HoYoverse tends to revamp many aspects of its games whenever a new nation or planet arrives. Among these changes are characters with new mechanics, improvements to the interface, new areas, and a plethora of enemies and wildlife to battle. This time, however, leaks from Version 5.0 of Genshin Impact show that Natlan could have all this and much more. While this is a given for many fans, it seems HoYoverse is throwing the house out of the window. Natlan will not only be a change of scenery but will bring much more refreshing content despite being the nation of fire.
Genshin Impact 5.0 QoL Leaks Reveal Possible Mounts and a Change for Character Ascension Levels
Starting with the nation change from Fontaine to Natlan, much more information about the Nation of War is still missing. However, from what we can gather, there is another race of primordial dragons in Natlan related to an important volcano in the area. Besides that, the initial map of Natlan will be similar in size to Sumeru 3.1, so Teyvat will already have a massive area to cover. Also, these leaks indicate that HoYoverse could add some of those dragons as mounts.
Another leak mentions that for Genshin Impact 5.0, there will finally be a change in the maximum Ascension Level for characters. Right now, playable characters reach their maximum level at 90, and it has been this way for a couple of years. However, some of the enemies can already appear at level 91. Increasing the levels is a logical step, especially if the world continues to expand and there are still many enemies to defeat in the future.
There will undoubtedly be many more surprises once Natlan arrives in Teyvat, but the characters’ design and new lore details always intrigue fans the most. Hopefully, Murata will make Genshin Impact rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Because as much as I loved Fontaine, the recent updates have yet to hit the mark as many other fans and I would’ve wanted.
