After this, you need to follow the Complex Cartography quest marker in Sumeru. Then talk to Peixiu near Yazadaha Pool, and you will start the Perilous Expedition event. It is also worth noting that it is only available until August 7, 2023, so you should hurry.
Perilous Expedition Event Explained
The new event introduces a series of challenges that will be unlocked over time. In each of them, you have to win three battles against different enemies. This event is similar to the Spiral Abyss but without the random buffs.
In the Genshin Perilous Expedition event, you have to plan your team comps before rounds, as the buffs you get depend on it. Using the same characters for each of the three battles will make it very difficult for you to win. Conversely, by using three teams of different heroes you will significantly increase your chances. Also, each challenge has 4 difficulty levels:
- Normal
- Hard
- Crisis
- Dire
The first three difficulty levels depend on your World Level. But the fourth is equally difficult for all players. Fortunately, you only need to win on Normal difficulty to get the main rewards, namely Primogems. At the time of writing, there are only 3 stages available, but already can get up to 420 Primogems for them, which is pretty good. In addition to Primogems, you can also get resources like Adventurer’s Experience, Hero’s Wit, Fine Enhancement Ore, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Iron Talisman of the Forest Dew, Remnant Glow of Scorching Might, Oasis Garden’s Kindness, and more.
That’s all you need to know about the Perilous Expedition event in Genshin Impact. This event can bring you good rewards and allow you to test your skills in tough battles. In the meantime, take a look at our best Genshin Impact Wanderer Build.
