A woman in Georgia confronted her hairstylist after claiming that her appointment was canceled and that the stylist refused to refund the deposit she had paid.

The woman began the video by explaining that her hairstylist had canceled an appointment she had booked. According to her account, after canceling the appointment, the hairstylist refused to refund the deposit she had already paid. Later, the woman said she recognized the hairstylist’s car parked outside several businesses. After spotting the vehicle, she decided to go inside to look for the stylist so she could confront her directly about the canceled appointment and the disputed refund of the deposit.

At first, the woman entered a restaurant and began looking for the hairstylist. While explaining the situation, she said that the hairstylist told her that she could reschedule instead of receiving a refund. According to the woman, the hairstylist had also explained that the appointment was canceled because of a family emergency.

After searching the restaurant, the woman eventually spotted the hairstylist sitting at a table and eating with three other people. She approached the table and questioned the stylist about canceling the appointment due to a claimed family emergency, while apparently out at a restaurant. In response, the hairstylist replied, “This is the emergency,” and explained that the family members dining with her were the family emergency. The exchange quickly became tense as the woman continued to press her about the canceled appointment and the disputed deposit.

The woman then asked the hairstylist to return the deposit she had paid for the appointment. In response, the hairstylist said that her website’s policy states that if an appointment is affected by an emergency or a cancellation on her end, the customer has 30 days to rebook without paying another deposit. The woman disagreed with that interpretation and argued that the policy applied when the customer canceled, not when the hairstylist canceled the appointment.

“You cancel. You inconvenience me, but you’re outside drinking, having fun,” the woman told the hairstylist as the argument continued. At that point, a man sitting next to the hairstylist joined the discussion and suggested she return the deposit. He even took money out of his pocket and attempted to hand it to the woman to resolve the dispute. However, before he could do so, the hairstylist took the money from his hand and kept it, preventing the exchange.

The hairstylist then responded sarcastically, asking the woman, “You interrupted my food. Would you like a shrimp?” She also claimed that the disputed deposit was only $15. The woman immediately pushed back, clarifying that the deposit was actually $50. She continued expressing her frustration, saying, “I needed my hair done today, but you’re outside eating, chilling,” arguing that the cancellation had disrupted her plans. At the same time, the hairstylist appeared to be spending time at a restaurant.

The woman then argued that she had uncovered the truth behind the cancellation, pointing out that she had found the hairstylist dining at a restaurant despite claiming to have a family emergency. As the hairstylist continued refusing to return the deposit, the woman went to find a waiter. After locating one, she ordered food and then told the waiter to add the cost to the hairstylist’s bill.

“Put it on her tab,” the woman told the waiter while pointing toward the hairstylist’s table. As she returned to the table, the hairstylist responded by telling her, “You crazy.” The woman then picked up a plate of shrimp from the table and appeared to walk away with it. The footage ended shortly afterward, making it unclear what happened next, whether the deposit dispute was resolved, or whether the restaurant staff intervened. As of now, there have been no public updates regarding the outcome of the situation.

Viewers Side With Georgia Woman After Confronting Hairstylist

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers sided with the Georgia woman and argued that her reaction was justified given the circumstances she described. They were particularly critical of the hairstylist’s handling of the dispute and her refusal to return the deposit. “She’s eating with yall deposits. Smh,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Now take her to court with the evidence and turn $50 into $5,000. She gonna learn today‼!”

More viewers criticized the hairstylist’s conduct, describing it as unprofessional. “Very unprofessional. Report her to the board,” one person wrote. Another agreed, saying, “She’s cocky and unprofessional.” A third commenter argued that the incident could have serious consequences for the stylist’s business. “She just don’t realize how many customers that she really lost. If you sue her, you guaranteed to win just don’t slaughter her just sue her for 15 times more plus stress time inconvenience you will come out with about 5000,” they wrote.

The video sparked a broader conversation about professionalism among service providers. Viewers also discussed whether deposits should be refunded when the provider cancels an appointment. It also led to discussions about how customers should appropriately handle disputes over payments and cancellations. This is along with what steps they can take when they feel they have been treated unfairly.
