China based technology company, Giada, has launched a fan-less mini computer that’s designed to consume minimal energy, called “Giada F200”. The PC which is marketed exclusively on North America, has been claimed as the most energy saving PC in the world.
The F200 is said to only takes a power of 4.3 watts to operate. In comparison, a light bulb’s lowest power requirement requires at least around 5 watts. According to Giada, the F200’s incredible low energy consumption is due to the use of Intel Celeron N2790 low-power processor embedded on the device.
Even with its low power requirement, the PC is also equipped with 2 GB of RAM and a choice between 8 GB and 16 GB internal memory. In the storage department, Giada has prepared mSATA port for plugging hardisk, thus increasing memory capacity.
Giada F200 is also equipped with Gigabit LAN ports, 4 USB 3.0 ports, SIM card slot for a mobile data connection, and a HDMI port that supports 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels). Giada does not include WiFi or Bluetooth in the F200, but the device has a mini PCIe slot available to plug WiFi or Bluetooth adapter.
Unfortunately there is no information about the F200’s release date. However, VR-Zone reported that the F200 will have a price tag of $110.
