Gillian Anderson is no stranger to making a head-turning entrance on the red carpet. After all, the 55-year-old Sex Education star has been acting for over three decades now. Not only that, but she’s also managed to win multiple high-profile awards for her craft. Yesterday, Anderson attended the premiere for her upcoming Netflix biopic, Scoop, and it’s safe to say that she wowed fans with her indubitable elegance and beauty.
Donning a form-fitting green strapless dress, the X-files icon flaunted her hour glass figure, while onlookers’ jaws dropped. She paired her tailored, ankle-skimming outfit with natural lip, a pair of silver stilettos, and her signature smouldering blue eyes. Accompanying Anderson on the red carpet were her co-stars Billie Piper, Romola Garai, and Keeley Hawes.
Based on the book Scoops by Sam McAllister, the new Netflix biopic centers on an infamous sit-down interview between British journalist Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew. In it, Anderson portrays the prominent Newsnight presenter, who goes on to reveal Prince Andrew’s questionable relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted and prolific sex offender.
Of course, Anderson is well-known for her depictions of true-to-life dramas. After all, one of her recent and most iconic roles saw her stepping into the heels of former UK prime minister Margaret Thatcher in The Crown for an award-winning portrayal. Scoops is scheduled to launch on the streaming giant on the 5th of April. Critics are already praising the pic, dubbing it a “nailbiter.”
