Freyr’s Camp in Vanaheim features a total of two Legendary Chests that players can find and loot in God of War Ragnarok. The first chest contains a rare Crafting Component known as Divine Ashes, a material that can also be acquired from looting chests and completing challenges within Muspelheim. The second chest holds a Heavy Runic Attack called Leviathan’s Roar. As its name suggests, Leviathan’s Roar is a Runic ability for Kratos’s Leviathan Axe that has players hurl the weapon in a boomerang-like fashion with devastating impact. During this attack, Kratos protects himself with his Shield and can ricochet his axe at enemy targets.

Finding Freyr’s Camp Legendary Chests in God of War Ragnarok

Freyr's Camp Legendary Chest Location in God of War Ragnarok

To find the first Legendary Chest in Freyr’s Camp, God of War Ragnarok players must investigate a semi-concealed alcove in the upper level. Starting from the central area, enter the pathway in the west and look for a yellow crack in the wall. The rock with this glowing fissure can only be cleared using the Draupnir Spear from “Forging Destiny.”

Accordingly, players must use the Draupnir Spear’s ability to break through the alcove wall in Freyr’s Camp to find the first Legendary Chest in this God of War Ragnarok location. On the other hand, the second chest is slightly more challenging to reach. First, players must head to the area where they will face the Forest Ancient, a powerful golem-like miniboss that will fire exploding projectiles from its chest. To defeat this miniboss, players must throw their axe at the monster’s chest cavity when it is firing projectiles.

Once the Forest Ancient has been defeated, players will notice a white circle icon beneath the scaffolds on the right. Players must crawl through this icon’s small space and climb the other side’s wall using the Blades of Chaos. Clear the nearby crumbled wall using the Draupnir Spear to make it climbable. Next, players must use the UI’s white circle icons as a guide for where they must climb across the wooden scaffolding and railing. Eventually, players will reach a ledge where they can climb up onto the upper level of the stone brick ruin and loot the second Freyr’s Camp Legendary Chest in God of War Ragnarok.

God of War: Ragnarok is available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
