Nowadays, gamers are faced with a big choice in most games. Style or functionality? The former is the one that wins most of the time. Yet, that isn’t the best if you want to make a strong character. For that reason, a lot of developers have created and implemented a transmog system in their games. We’ve seen this system more commonly in MMOs like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. It is good for those who want to be powerful but stylish at the same time. And now, we have official confirmation that the God of War Ragnarok transmog system will be available at launch.
God of War Ragnarok’s Transmog System will happen due to player’s demands
After some time, players have been asking for a way to make Kratos look stylish while also keeping good stats. If you remember, God of War 2018 had some great armor, but the simpler and most stylish ones were not too good. So, Kratos had to roam around, taking on enemies with some slick combat moves but with a bulky set instead of a fashionable one. Well, the developers have fixed this by implementing an official God of War Ragnarok transmog system.

The system was confirmed on their official Discord through a Q&A session. It is quite good to know that single-player games are adding these features. While the God of War Ragnarok transmog system isn’t the first one, we’ll have to see how good it is. For example, Gotham Knights allow you to switch suit styles, but you can’t customize the transmog sets. Yet, in other games, such as Elden Ring, the system is non-existent, and we think it’d make an amazing feature in the game. On the other hand, Nioh 2, which is a free game on PS Plus this month, has an excellent transmog system. So, we’ll have to wait until November 9 to see how Santa Monica Studio will make it work. Remember that tomorrow the review embargo lifts for God of War Ragnarok, so beware of spoilers if you want to go in blind and get ready to get the game before it launches next week.
