As of September 18th, 2019, Google confirmed that the Stadia Founders Edition is sold out. This included the exclusive Night Blue Stadia controller. Being completely sold out in Europe, if your still desperate to get your hands on one of these special controllers, you’re in luck. According to the statistics, there are some very limited supplies in the US, Canada, and the UK, though these will be gone very soon too. Especially as of this announcement, which will probably rally anyone slightly interested in the Stadia to grab the remaining Founder’s Edition’s.
But Wait, There’s More Google Stadia’s… (kind-off)
Luckily, for anyone desperate to grab anything but the standard edition on release, Google has announced the Premiere Edition. And it’s the same price. But, its actually a fairly different bundle.
So what do you get in the Google Stadia Premiere Edition?
Being almost the exact same, unsurprisingly you get the same stuff.
- A Chromecast Ultra,
- A three-month Stadia Pro Subscription,
- And, rather than a ‘Night Blue Controller,’ you get a ‘Clearly White Controller.’
Battle of the Google Stadia’s: Founders Vs. Premiere Edition
Though, the benefits of the Founders Edition are clear. And it isn’t just Night Blue Controller. With the Founders, you get a Buddy Pass, which enables buyers to share there three months of Stadia Pro (the Google version of PS+ or Xbox Live). Plus, there is also the benefit that founders can claim exclusive Stadia usernames. Whereas Premiere owners are treated just like the standard editions username formatting. Meaning the username you choose will have auto-appended numbers added to your username. Though these benefits aren’t game-changing, you get a cooler username and deal for the price of $129.99.
