Have you been struggling to make yourself a Grinder in Grounded? The new addition to the game, part of the Shroom and Gloom update, may now be one of the most important utility stations you can have if you want to do things such as tame pets or build a fortress made of mushroom bricks. The grinder can be used to crush up both mushrooms and plants into slurries, which can then be used for a variety of other crafting projects that are new with the Grounded update. In order to unlock the grinder, you will need to save up your Raw Science and hunt down a specific BURG.L chip. After that, it’s smooth sailing, er, grinding.
How To Unlock the Grinder
To obtain the Grinder construction recipe, you will need to find your way to the end of the Haze Lab, which is located in the Haze biome in the southwest region of the backyard. In order to safely navigate this region, you will need to bring along a Gas Mask. Bring the BURG.L chip from the Haze Lab back to BURG.L. You will then be able to purchase the Advanced Production Buildings upgrade. This upgrade costs 4,000 Raw Science. You will also unlock other recipes with this purchase such as the equally helpful oven.
How To Craft A Grinder In Grounded
Once you have purchased the Advanced Production Buildings upgrade you are ready to craft your first Grinder. The recipe for the Grinder requires 2 Crow Feather Pieces, 2 Acorn Shells, 3 Flower Petals, and 5 Bombardier Parts. You can find Crow Feather Pieces by chopping up crow feathers which can be found near the birdbath or near the picnic table. Acorn Shells are obtained by smashing acorns throughout the garden (especially near the oak tree). Flower Petals can be found on the ground near rose bushes and to the north of the birdbath. Bombardier Parts come from slaying Bombardiers. These insects can be tough to take on so make sure you are prepared for a real fight!
Once you have completed all that you will be able to build the mushroom castle of your dreams. Or catch a little aphid buddy! If you’re still having trouble with any of the above steps for crafting a grinder in the newest Grounded update you can check out this video by Z1 Gaming for a more in-depth look.
