CD Projekt Red recently wrapped up their Closed Beta for their upcoming release, GWENT: The Witcher Card game, and are thanking fans for participating in a unique way. If you were lucky enough to get into the Beta, the company is providing a free game code for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

The team behind the recent Witcher games has been notorious for providing gifts as a way of a thank you to its loyal customers, as The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt included multiple free Downloadable Content. Those DLC’s included free card packs, clothing, weapons, aesthetics and even story missions.

GWENT

While they did have two paid story DLC’s as well, each one of them had enough content in them to rival most retail releases, with each combined main stories adding around 40 or so extra hours to the game.

Originally a game within a game, fans loved GWENT so much that it prompted CD Projekt Red to create its own spinoff. Last summer they officially announced GWENT: The Witcher Card game was in development, and that Beta’s would be arriving shortly.

The first Closed Beta started in February on PC, while the first Public Beta is set to begin next week, May 24th.

GWENT

If you were one of the lucky few to participate, all you have to do to redeem your free game is log into their site using your GOG account, the same one you’re using to play GWENT. Be aware that key will expire on May 29th at 2 PM CEST, so be quick about it!
