Gwyneth Paltrow spent a relaxing Easter weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, with her two children. On Sunday, the Oscar winner and Iron Man star shared images of herself, daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17. The trio visited Lou Nashville and The Station Inn, tucking into some specialty pizzas and sushi.
In early March, Paltrow spoke with The Sunday Times about her apprehension toward Moses heading off to college later this year. Paltrow shares both Moses and Apple with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, whom she married in 2003 and divorced in 2016.
Paltrow Prepares To Send Moses Off To College
“In the fall, Brad [Falchuk] and I have boys that will be going off to university. It’ll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house,” she said.

Angelina Jolie Prepared To Prolong Custody Battle With Brad Pitt Until Their Children Are Adults“On the one hand, incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief. On the other hand, this is exactly what should be happening. Your kids are supposed to be, you know, young adults who can achieve and cope and make connections and be resilient. That’s exactly what you want. And that means they leave the house,” she added.
In an October interview with Bustle, Paltrow mentioned how starkly different her children’s college admission process went, saying that Apple had her heart set on one particular school, whereas Moses was a little more indecisive.
“Apple was very clear on where she wanted to go, and did everything in her power to make it happen and manifested it. Moses is like, ‘I don’t know, I like this and I like that, and let’s go back and see this, let’s go back and see that one.’ He’s more relaxed about it. He’s kind of like, ‘I’ll be happy wherever; it’s fine,’ which is a great feeling.”
“And it generally seems to work out,” Paltrow continued. “What I’ve observed is that sometimes you’re like, ‘Oh, no, this person didn’t get into there, and it seemed like such a great fit.’ But in the end, the college knows what they’re doing, and they end up, I think, taking the kids that are going to really thrive. I think they have it down to a science.”
She Took A An Indefinite Hiatus From Acting in 2017
The 51-year-old actress dated Brad Pitt from 1994 to 1997 and even became engaged to him at age 24. In 1997, she briefly dated Ben Affleck, but the duo called it off in 2000 and remained friends. Two years after her divorce from Chris Martin, she married Brad Falchuk, whom she had been dating since 2014.
In 2017, Paltrow announced that she would take an indefinite hiatus from acting to focus on her business Goop. She reprised her role as Pepper Potts in 2019 for Avengers: Endgame and appeared in the Netflix comedy-drama series The Politician, but for the most part, she’s been inactive.
“I’m still going to do a little bit here and there, but [the company] really requires almost all of my time,” she told PEOPLE. But just last year, she told Variety that there’s still a chance of her returning. “Well, it would be very hard for me to do any acting right at the moment, just because of my job. But, I guess Robert Downey Jr. could probably always get me back. You know, to some degree.”
