Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s chapter with her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, is nearly over. The former couple called it quits early this year, just three months after the ex-convict’s release from prison. Surprisingly, Blanchard wasted no time moving on with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker, who Anderson had always been wary of.
As Blanchard and Urker prepare to welcome their first child together, they won’t have to worry about Anderson being in the picture. The exes were supposed to conclude their divorce in January 2025; however, they recently settled their split. Anderson’s attorney, Jeffrey Carrier, shared the news, claiming his client skipped the court drama to reduce his legal expenses.
Since Anderson and Blanchard had been living apart for the past six months, it allowed them to settle quickly. Carrier noted that their estrangement allowed for a new cause of action — pushing for an uncontested divorce. This move enabled the speedy resolution of their differences, and the exes signed off on the agreement. Anderson and Blanchard reportedly agreed to no spousal support.
However, the division of community property has not been resolved, and some contracts were hanging in the balance. However, it was unclear if these problems would delay their divorce finalization. According to TMZ, a court clerk claimed a judge was yet to sign off on Anderson and Blanchard’s settlement. The former couple’s agreement comes eight months after the media personality pulled the plug on their marriage.
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson Faced Several Issues Before Their Split
Months before Blanchard filed for divorce, sources shared that she and Anderson had been fighting over his food hoarding. The former couple also got into several arguments on their show, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. One of the reasons for their differences was the entertainer’s relationship with her ex-fiancé, which Anderson disliked.
His worries weren’t far-fetched as Blanchard moved on with Urker shortly after leaving Anderson. The couple are expecting their first child together in January 2025. As for the speculations about who the baby’s father was, the former convict cleared the air last month. She shared screenshots of a paternity test that proved her boyfriend was the father of her baby.
Fans seemed heartbroken about the end of Blanchard and Anderson’s chapter, sharing their reactions on X. Someone believed the media personality’s fame affected her relationship, while another noted the marriage “didn’t last long.” A third echoed similar sentiments, writing:
“That was fast..thought those 2 kids were really going to make it.”
While Blanchard seems to have lost nothing during and after her marriage to Anderson, the latter’s story differs. In September, We shared that Anderson had reflected on how his relationship with the ex-con had affected his career. “I did lose a job being with Gypsy,” he revealed, noting he was terminated from his teaching gig.
Anderson taught at a local Christian school but was allegedly let go over his relationship with Blanchard. He suspected the institution fired him because of his former lover’s controversial past. She spent eight years in prison for helping her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, murder her mother in June 2015. As for why this affected his status as a teacher, Anderson said:
“They felt like I broke the honor code by being with Gypsy. It was one of those where that’s the reason I got let go.”
With Ryan Anderson’s ties to Gypsy-Rose Blanchard nearly over, will he also find love again?
